A divisional Buying Office for a substantial Group.

The person will be responsible for managing the trading office for ladies clothing and for ensuring the development of the business through working with major retailers and importers.

YOu will have full P & L responsibility for the business and will report into a Group Managing Director. The position is fully supported across all areas from merchandising to quality control and logistics and has a design team based in Europe.
The person will be responsible for developing retail accounts and also the vendors.
Ensuring product is developed to suit the customer requirements and is to a suitable quality standard and of course to time schedules.

The person sought will need a sound commercial background with experience of working for a large manufacturer / supplier or retailer. A sound knowledge of clothing manufacture is essential along with previous experience of working with vendors within the Indian sub continent and the Far East.

Good financial acumen and leadership skills are needed for this great career opportunity.

This is a permanent contract and is one that will suit a person with a sound knowledge of the European retail market and ideally some experience of working with retailers in the USA.
Fluent English is essential and additional European languages will be advantageous
