We are currently recruiting for a Junior Product Development Technologist working within our Home & Travel division. This is a 12 month Fixed Term position.
Based at our head office in Watford, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safety, quality and technical development of nursery, gift and home products.
Responsibilities include:
. Ensure products meet legal and safety requirements
. Support the technical development of products to production stage
. Ensure products meet quality and performance requirements
. Mange on time approval of products against critical path
. Benchmark products against competition to ensure best in class
. Monitor the performance of products in the market place and take action as appropriate to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction
The role requires:
. Product development background
. Previous experience within a Retailer/Supplier
. Knowledge of basic materials and construction methods for metals/plastics/textiles
. Understanding of product safety standards and risk assessment
. Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and strong team working skills
