Vacancy for Garment Technologist
A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a leading high street supplier which will involve working with designers, pattern cutters and production staff to ensure that product standards are adhered to and meet with customer satisfaction levels.
Duties will include:
Preparing and updating garment specs
To fit and sign off all fit samples, sealing them to a commercial standard
Approve pre-production and production samples
Testing of garments and trims and approval of lab dips.
You must have experience in a “hands on” garment technologist role and preferably have dealt with menswear from another leading importer/manufacturer. You will need detailed knowledge of textiles, garment construction methods and size grading, have computer skills and the ability to work under pressure.
The post will involve travel to overseas factories occasionally
