Our Assistant Managers are both flexible and adaptable, with a real ambition and desire to progress within the company. They are highly involved in the coordination of shop initiatives through both merchandising and marketing. You are an experienced customer service professional and will be responsible for showing our customers the Coral experience by providing exceptional customer service at all times whilst understanding and complying with all Gambling Commission regulations.
This role includes having increased responsibility, as you will manage the shop in the absence of your Deputy/Shop Manager. You will also continue to process customer bets, complete administrative duties, support our fun machine tournaments, and ensure that the shop is kept presentable.
You will have the support of a great team around you and will be working within an organisation that is seen as being innovative and forward thinking. We have a fantastic customer base which continues to grow through the introduction of industry leading products and services that our customers want like Sky and Coral TV.
Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour
- Aged 18 or over
- Numerate (GSCE Mathematics is desirable)
- Previous customer service/retail experience (Essential)
- Supervisory experience (Desirable)
- A flexible approach to working hours (Essential)
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- You must be willing to work in neighbouring shops if required
- Previous experience of cash handling (Desirable) - Previous industry experience is desirable but not essential Additional Information

You will also be expected to maintain an awareness of legal and social responsibility requirements in order to sensitively and professionally assist any potential gambling problems and enforce our THINK 21 policy to ensure prevention of under age gambling.
